Do not bring firewood with you to our facility. Firewood is sold on site for $5.00 a bundle and we deliver it right to your cabin or campsite during business hours.
We need your help to protect our forests. Please do not move
firewood or bring any to the Allegheny National Forest region.
The emerald ash borer was recently found in Pennsylvania. This is
an extremely destructive insect that was introduced from Asia, and
has killed more than 20 million ash trees in Michigan, Ohio,
Maryland, Indiana, and southwestern Pennsylvania. One of the
main ways forest pests are spread is through firewood movement.
In order to prevent the spread of emerald ash borer and other
introduced pests in the eastern U.S., several quarantines exist for
the transportation of wood products, including a ban on firewood
brought into the State of Pennsylvania. Additionally, the
Allegheny National Forest currently has a ban on all firewood
originating from outside Warren, Forest, Elk and McKean
Counties in Pennsylvania.
