29th Annual Cook Forest Half Marathon and 5K - The half marathon is flat to gently rolling entirely on river Road along the beautiful Clarion River. Course is out and back on traffic controlled roads. The 5K event is also out-and-back on the same road. Chainsaw Rendezvous - Sawmill Center of Arts - Friday and Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM;
Sunday 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
We had so much fun last year we just had to do it again!
This show features amazing demonstrations as the chaisaw artists display their talents. Watch as life-like animals, characatures, plants, etc. appear from a "simple" log. Products available for sale from the artists or you can attend the auction held both Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st to bid on these wonderfully crafted pieces.  Auction times to be announced.

North Country Trail May "Strawberry Pie Hike"

The Clarion Chapter will be having its 3rd annual "Strawberry Pie Hike" at 10:00 am on May 4th. We will be hiking along the North Country Trail / Baker Trail from the trail head on Rt 66 to the Cook Forest Environmental Center. Strawberry Pie will be provided by the Clarion CHapter of the North Country Trail Association at the Environmental Center at the end of the hike.

Route: Rt 66 to the Environmental Center in Cook Forest State Park

MACA First Annual Wine Fest

The First Annual MACA Wine Fest event! Join us at the MACA BUilding on MACA Drive in Marienville on Saturday, May 4th from Noon till 5:00 PM for wine tastings and sales, door prizes, snacks, raffles and more!

June 1 & 2, 2013 Herb and Fiber Arts Festival - Sawmill Center - 28th annual celebration of the "Good Earth". This event is always a tremendous show. Herb and other plant vendors…live and dried herbs, plants, spices, flowers, earth-related craft and art work (bird houses, plant holders, etc.), as well as fiber-related arts and crafts, environmental-related items and how-to books. Admission: Free
June 8-9, 2013 French & Indian War Encampment - Take a walk back in time at the Sawmill Center for the Arts to view British, French, Colonial and American Indian re-enactors as they portray lifestyles of the 18th Century.  Highlights of this full two-day encampment include children's programs, woodland natives, cannon and musket firing demonstrations, and more. June 15, 2013 Festival in the Forest Arts Festival
Spend a relaxing day under the trees watching art and craft demonstrations, voting for your favorite for the People's Choice award in the art competition, shopping the booths of local artists, sampling some tasty treats, and listening to great music. And don't leave the kids behind! There will be a youth art competition and an area for hids arts & crafts activities where they can create their own work of art to take home! The Tionesta Lions Club Relay for Life Team will serve breakfast beginning at 9:00 am and lunch at Noon. Live music will be performed throughout the day.

 

Festival in the Forest will be held from 10:00 am till 5:00 pm at the Forest County 4-H Grounds, 5 miles south of Tionesta on Rt. 36. (Watch for the "Johnson Paints" sign and the horses in the field. Follow the dirt lane past the horse barn.) Parking and admission are free though donations are appreciated. Register at the gate for a chance at one of two door prizes donated by local artists and businesses.

Artists and Craftsmen are invited to participate in the art competition, as artist vendors, and/or as art or fine craft demonstrators. Vendors submitting their paid registration by April 1st will be included in the promotional placemat produced for the event. PA Firefly Festival

The first annual PA Firefly Festival, a family event featuring the many species of fireflies found in Forest County! Did you know that the firefly is the state insect of Pennsylvania? That's right.......so the event name has been changed to reflect this and promotion will be extended state-wide.

RODEO - The Toughest Show on Dirt!  The Flying W Ranch is famous for hosting the annual PRCA/WPRA sanctioned Championship Rodeo. This action packed event features: bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, women's barrel racing, bull riding and more. They also have specialty acts, concessions, vendors and a live country band.

July 20 - 21, 2013 Woodcarving Show & Competition - Sawmill Center - 29th annual Woodcarving Show and Competition will feature vendors, contests, and demonstrations. The extraordinary work of many talented artists will be on display in the show area. Prizes awarded in many categories. Vote for the "People's Choice" Award.
Admission: Free to visit vendor area; $1.00 per person (adults and children) to view show entries.

Tionesta Indian Festival

Tionesta Indian Festival - Annual festival with rides, carnival, parade, rummage sales, Trash and Treasure Day throughout the town, arts and crafts, tournaments, pageant, runs/races, dances, fishing derby, fashion show, pet parade, bingo, food, fireworks and much more.
August 23-25, 2013 Rumble on the River Motorcycle Rally -
The 2013 Rally will once again include a Sunday morning / breakfast poker run. The ride will travel approx. 80 miles through the beautiful rolling mountains of NW PA along the Allegheny River and will include coffee and donuts along the way. The cost for the poker run is $15 per person or $25 per couple. . Make sure you plan to go on this ride. Tons of great prizes and an awesome ride. Don't Miss it.

September 20-29, 2013 Clarion Autumn Leaf Festival - This 10-day internationally award-winning festival attracts over 500,000 people to the Clarion Area. Events and entertainment include Swank's Steel City Shows (carnival rides/amusements), Riverhill Battery Warehouse Power Wheels Derby, Cultural Nights, Clarion University's Homecoming weekend and football game (Gannon), 10K, concerts, and other major events.
